It isn’t easy getting two pentakills in a season. After the newly implemented round-robin format in 2015, only Donghyeon “Arrow” Noh (Summer 2015) and Jinseong “Teddy” Park (Spring 2018) have achieved the accomplishment.
Teddy pulled off his first pentakill of the season on February 25th, with his Kalista, during the second set against KT Rolster. His second one was at the final match of the season, with his Xayah, during the second set against ROX Tigers.
In addition to his impressive pentakill performance, Teddy also has the highest average kills amongst the players who have played more than 10 sets. Teddy has played a total of 44 sets this spring with 173 kills, taking first place — beating out Faker and Bang, who have 140 and 141 kills respectively, even though they have played two more sets than Teddy.
Teddy averages 3.9 kills per game, with Lava of ROX coming in second with 3.3, and Faker and Bang at 3.1 and 3, coming in third and fourth.
Teddy’s kill count has shown a dramatic growth from 2017. For spring and summer 2017, Teddy only had 132 kills and 119 kills, ranking him at 14th and 13th, but come 2018, he is the clear winner, 30 kills above second place. Teddy’s potential in season 7 has turned him into a bona fide killing machine in his second year of a professional gamer.
